College of Food Science, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University
The College of Food Science, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University originated from the undergraduate program of food processing at the former Fujian College of Agriculture in 1958. It is one of the earliest colleges in China to offerthe undergraduate program of food.After more than 60 years of historical accumulation and nearly 40 years of continuous development, the college has formed a complete talent training system of "bachelors (undergraduate), masters, doctors and post-doctors." It has the only postdoctoral research station of food science and engineering in Fujian Province, a first-level discipline doctoral degree program and a first-class discipline (peak discipline) in Fujian Province. The majors of Food Science and Engineering and Food Quality and Safety have been approved as national first-class undergraduate programs.According to the discipline ranking assessment of the Ministry of Education, Food Science and Engineering ranks first in Fujian Province and top in China.It ranked 17th among global universities and 11th among Chinese mainland universities in the 2022 Shanghai Ranking's "Global Ranking of Academic Subjects," and 10th among Chinese mainland universities (21st in the world) in the "U.S. News' 2022 Best Global Universities Rankings."
