Winners Announced for Fuzhou’s Bid for “City of Gastronomy” Slogan Contest— “Millennium-old Fujian Cuisine for Global Sharing” Wins Grand Prize

The Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce recently concluded its slogan contest for Fuzhou’s bid for “City of Gastronomy”. The results are officially announced, and the winning slogan “Millennium-old Fujian Cuisine for Global Sharing” is awarded the grand prize. Five other slogans, including “Fuzhou Cuisine, A Flavor of Happiness”, are selected as finalists.

Since Fuzhou launched its global call for slogan proposals to support its bid for “City of Gastronomy” last November, the contest garnered significant public interest, receiving over 10,000 slogan submissions through various channels. Participants expressed their diverse interpretations of Fuzhou’s culinary culture. Among the numerous entries, quite a few stood out with their creative excellence and meaningful depth. After rounds of public voting (online) and expert selection, one grand prize winner and five finalists were selected.

The winning slogan is “Millennium-old Fujian Cuisine for Global Sharing” (by Zhang Xiao), earning the grand prize of 10,000 yuan. The finalist slogans, selected by an expert panel, are each awarded 1,000 yuan. These include: “Fuzhou Cuisine, A Flavor of Happiness” (by Huang Cai’e), “A City of Vibrant Life, A Taste of Millennium-Old Fujian” (by Zhu Laijun), and “Fuzhou Cuisine, A Fusion of Mountain and Sea Delicacies” (by Duan Hengqing). The finalist slogans selected by online voting include: “A Culinary Haven of Delicacies, Fuzhou’s Fortune Shared Worldwide” (by Lyu Lixin), and “The Flavors of Fuzhou, A Feast for the World” (by Chen Zerui), each receiving a prize of 1,000 yuan.

The event organizers will provide further details regarding prize distribution and related arrangements. (Fuzhou Evening News Reporter: Quan Yiyue)
