From January 10 to 19, the First Fuzhou Metropolitan Area New Year Goods Expo will be held at Hall 9 of the Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. Guided by the Fuzhou Municipal Government and hosted by Fuzhou Convention and Exhibition Group Co., Ltd. and Fuzhou Press Media Co., Ltd., the event aims to create a high-quality shopping experience, boost year-end consumer spending, and support a strong start for the first quarter’s economic and social development.
One-Stop Shopping for Chinese New Year’s Must-Haves
Convenience, variety, quality, and affordability are the hallmarks of this New Year Goods Expo. Spanning an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters and featuring over 500 international-standard booths, the event showcases a wide array of leading consumer brands and trendy New Year products. From gourmet snacks and festive gift boxes to intangible cultural heritage specialties, home furnishings, potted New Year flowers, and outdoor gear, the fair offers a fresh and immersive shopping experience. It aims to meet every aspect of New Year consumption, covering food, drink, living, travel, leisure, and shopping, all under one roof.
The exhibitors at this New Year Goods Expo are predominantly well-known brands. During a preview of the venue, companies such as Fuzhou Mingcheng Protection and Development Co., Ltd., Fuzhou Xinrong Urban Construction and Development Co., Ltd., Fuzhou Mintian Group, Fuzhou Juchunyuan Group, Fujian Aquatic Products Supply and Marketing Company, Nanping Green Development Group, and Yili were seen preparing to showcase their popular products. A standout feature is the No. 1 dish of Fujian cuisine, Fotiaoqiang. The fair boasts an impressive variety of this dish, with offerings from Juchunyuan, Hydewin, Jicai, Ziji, and Shanshichun, creating a feast that will delight food enthusiasts.
Additionally, the New Year Goods Expo will feature special promotional events for New Year goods. One highlight is the “Fuzhou Premium Seafood” Promotion, jointly organized by the Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries and the Xiapu County Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries. This event will include four dedicated exhibition zones showcasing large yellow croaker, abalone, sea cucumber, and other specialty seafood products. On-site tastings will be organized, offering visitors and buyers the chance to savor these delicacies while engaging in interactive experiences. This hands-on approach allows participants to appreciate the exceptional quality of these premium seafood.
During the Expo, the organizers partnered with Fuzhou Juchunyuan Group to set up the “Good Gifts in Fuzhou” exhibition area, showcasing a diverse range of uniquely Fuzhou-themed souvenirs. Additionally, a “Good Gifts in Fuzhou” product selection campaign will be held, featuring online voting and offline award ceremonies to promote the “Products Debut”. This initiative aims to introduce the most popular New Year goods and spotlight trending brands for a wider audience.
New Year Feast Reservations Now Open
This New Year Goods Expo is the first in Fuzhou to feature traditional festive rural banquets as part of the event. From January 11 to 16, at 12:30 PM daily, the organizers will join forces with the “Jiangbenwei” catering brand to present the “Fu-Min Fu Banquet” series. This includes two signature banquets: the Intangible Cultural Heritage Pork Knuckle Banquet and the Fu Banquet, offering a fresh take on traditional countryside feasts with innovative flavors and presentations.
The “Fu-Min Fu Banquet” leverages the culinary expertise of the “Jiangbenwei” brand, which has been deeply rooted in Fujian cuisine for years. By sourcing premium mountain and seafood ingredients from across the province through a specialized supply chain, the banquet offers three meticulously crafted signature dishes, unlocking the shared culinary nostalgia of Fuzhou locals. Additionally, incorporating traditional rural banquet elements, the event establishes a cultural bridge of fortune, promoting Fujian cuisine heritage and preserving Fuzhou’s rural banquet traditions.
Reservations for the “Fu-Min Fu Banquet” are now open, offering a fast-track booking option for attendees. To reserve, simply open the “This Is Hometown”WeChat mini-program, go to the Fuzhou Metropolitan Area New Year Goods Expo section, select your preferred banquet package, and pay a deposit to confirm your booking. On the day of the event, guests can settle the remaining balance at the banquet verification counter in Hall 9 of the Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center using UnionPay. Additionally, they can enjoy exclusive discounts, including ¥30 off for purchases over ¥200 and ¥50 off for purchases over ¥500.
Exclusive Consumer Subsidies Launched
To boost spending and enhance the shopping experience, this Expo is introducing exclusive consumer subsidies, including “New Year Shopping Vouchers”, “Dining Vouchers”, and “Partner Merchant Discounts”. For each of the above activities, each person is limited to one participation per ID. The prize redemption counter will be open from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the 10th, and from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily from the 11th to the 19th. Prizes are limited in quantity and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out.

Transportation Guide
Metro: Take Fuzhou Metro Line 4 to Conference and Exhibition Center Station, exit at Exit C, and walk to Hall 9 of the Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center.
Bus: Take bus No. 2, 136, 175, or 177 to Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center West Station; Hall 9 is right across the street.
