New Fujian Cuisine Promotion & Golden Autumn · Fujian Food Carnival Is Launched

 

On the afternoon of August 28, the launch ceremony of New Fujian Cuisine Promotion & Golden Autumn · Fujian Food Carnival was held in Fuzhou. Government departments at all levels and related catering enterprises, associations and platform institutions were brought together to promote the new Fujian cuisine to go nationwide and even worldwide, so that thousands of households can enjoy delicious Fujian food.

As one of the eight major cuisines in China, Fujian cuisine gathers the food culture accumulated for thousands of years, represented by Fotiaoqiang, Instant-boiled Sea Clam in Chicken Broth, etc. Fujian cuisine is famous for a collection of delicacies from mountains and seas and diverse flavors, which is very popular among diners.

At the event, the New Fujian Cuisine Development Alliance was formally established under the guidance and promotion of the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, consisting of relevant leading enterprises, industry associations, platform institutions and media. It will gather the strength of all walks of life to keep strengthening the cooperation in promoting Fujian cuisine to go out, fostering the industrial system, building the brand, strengthening the talent training, facilitating the construction of the industry standardization system, and reinforcing the publicity and promotion of new Fujian cuisine.

At the launch ceremony, the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province signed strategic cooperation agreements with the China Cuisine Association, the China Hospitality Association, the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry, as well as enterprises such as Meituan, JD.com, Ali Local Life Group, and Micro Connect to jointly propel the development of new Fujian cuisine. 11 Fujian cuisine chefs who had made important contributions to the Fujian cuisine industry and gained wide recognition were awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award for Promoting Fujian Cuisine." Meituan released the map of new Fujian cuisine and “Internet popular” restaurants across the province.

On the same day, three themed salons were held on the topics of the inheritance and innovation of Fujian cuisine, ingredients from mountains and seas and the key to be Internet famous respectively. Representatives of Fujian cuisine enterprises such as Fuzhou Juchunyuan Group, C&D Hotel, Yanyu Restaurant and Putien, as well as food we-media representatives such as "Master Guan teaches cooking", "Xunzhenwei (Laomei)", "Shangqing Jiege" and "Ah Cai Food Teaching" gathered at the event to break the constraints and explore a new way of Fujian cuisine development. "Inheritance does not mean sticking to the old things, but to innovate." To develop new Fujian cuisine, we must adhere to the original flavor of Fujian cuisine." That's what we all think.

It is said that with the development of this event, all cities with subordinate districts in the province will continue to carry out the activities of the new Fujian cuisine promotion and Fujian food carnival. Fuzhou held a series of catering exhibition activities with the theme of bidding for “City of Gastronomy" to help diners across the country and even the world understand, taste and promote new Fujian cuisine, facilitate Fujian cuisine culture to go global, and drive the high-quality development of the Fujian cuisine industry.

Next, the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province will work with relevant departments, associations, enterprises and platform institutions to unite all walks of life to build new Fujian cuisine into a characteristic industry that benefits the people, better meet the people's yearning for a better life and jointly write a new chapter of "Fujian Cuisine Enjoying a Global Reputation" according to the general idea "the government building platforms, enterprises playing their parts, and pursuing practical results in innovation and development."
