Fish balls and other products are making their way into international markets
Production Workshop of Changheng Food Co., Ltd.
Fuzhou is known as China’s Fish Ball City. Recently, reporters visited the production workshop of Changheng Food Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Haixin Food. Inside the workshop, production lines were running at full speed, with round fish balls and specialty products like fish roe-filled dumplings continuously rolling off the production line. Workers quickly packed them into boxes, preparing them for shipment to major domestic supermarkets such as RT-Mart, CR Vanguard, and Yonghui.
“We resumed production on the eighth day of the Lunar New Year. All six production lines are now running at full capacity, churning out 60 to 80 tons of products daily, including fish balls, fish roe-filled dumplings, rice cakes, and juicy meatballs,” said Wang Zhichun, Executive Vice General Manager of Changheng Food Co., Ltd. The company’s fish roe-filled dumplings, fish balls, and other products are not only bestsellers in China but have also reached international markets like the United States and New Zealand.
It is reported that Changheng’s factory is an advanced “fourth-generation factory” in the industry, featuring cutting-edge equipment such as RF microwave defrosting machines, automatic stacking machines, and fully automated powder mixing systems. The factory also houses Fujian Province’s first automated intelligent stereoscopic refrigeration. The first phase of the project was officially put into production in June 2024, and the second phase is expected to begin production in May this year, focusing on the production and processing of high-end products such as surimi-based products and meat products.
The cross-border e-commerce industrial park is about to start operations
According to reports, the Dingling Cross-border Integrated Industrial Park, the first cross-border e-commerce park in Fuzhou Modern Logistics City, is about to begin operations.
“The first phase of the project is in its final stage,” said Xue Kai, Project Manager of the Dingling Cross-border Integrated Industrial Park. Over 90% of the overall construction for the first phase has been completed, with joint acceptance expected in March and production readiness anticipated by April. Once put into operation, the project is expected to provide at least 400 jobs and generate an annual export value of more than 2 billion yuan.
The Dingling Cross-border Integrated Industrial Park, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, covers a construction area of 75,000 square meters in its first phase. The park aims to become a leading cross-border e-commerce platform in China, providing comprehensive services to businesses in it, including e-commerce incubation, qualification processing, overseas training, international market expansion, supply chain management, and warehousing and distribution.
