Catering is an industry that involves a long strategic cycle. How can businesses respond to cyclical market changes? How can they overcome the challenges in restaurant management and brand operation? On September 25-26, the Second Black Pearl Restaurant Guide Food Leaders Conference will be held in Fuzhou, bringing together industry leaders to explore effective strategies for restaurant brands to adapt to market changes.

The conference will last for two days. The main forum “Breaking New Ground,” the business forum “Long-term Management,” and the culinary forum “Back to Ingredients and Flavors” will be held on September 25. And the business forum “New Growth Curve” and the culinary forum “Scientific Approach to Chinese Cuisine” will take place on September 26.

At the main forum “Breaking New Ground,” Wei Wei, Vice President of Meituan and General Manager of Meituan’s In-store Catering Business Division, will share his insights on “Managing Cyclical Operations for High-Quality Development.” Zhou Xiaoyan, a renowned culinary master and a board member of the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, will present her ideas on “Breaking New Ground in the Catering Industry.”

At the business forum “Long-Term Management,” Du Jianqing, the founder of Jingxihui, will share his experiences and lessons learned from nine years of entrepreneurship in the catering industry. Cao Siquan, Executive Chef of Bingsheng Catering, along with others, will share their stories of how they balance tradition and innovation.

Black Pearl restaurants are those selected and ranked according to the food standards of Meituan’s Black Pearl Guide, which feature three ratings: one-diamond, two-diamond, and three-diamond. Launched in 2018, this rating system aims to highlight the top restaurants in China and offer consumers exceptional dining choices. It is regarded by industry insiders as one of the most prestigious rankings, second only to Michelin.

Fuzhou is making efforts to build itself into an international consumption center city and is bidding for “City of Gastronomy.” This conference will help those in the catering industry understand the latest trends, innovative ideas, and sustainable development paths, injecting new energy and momentum into the catering industry in Fuzhou.
