In recent years, to further enhance the international profile of Fuzhou and promote the dissemination of "Fuzhou" culture, Fuzhou has continued to show the unique spirit symbol of Chinese nation and the long history of Min Chinese culture to the outside world in various innovative forms. At present, Fuzhou has established friendship relations with 19 cities in 15 countries. From 2010 to 2018, it has won the "International Friendship Award" or "International Friendship Special Contribution Award" issued by the People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries for five consecutive times.
